Therapy for Black Girls

Mar 7, 2018

The Therapy for Black Girls Podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible version of ourselves.

This week's episode features Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Parent Coach, Mercedes Samudio. Mercedes and I did a deep dive into the Psychology behind Black Panther. We discussed the importance of representation and how that impacts our mental health, the messages we received about Black womanhood, the strong attachment we all have seemed to develop to the characters, and why so many of us have had to see it over and over again.
