Therapy for Black Girls

Feb 12, 2020

The Therapy for Black Girls Podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a Licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible version of ourselves.

We’re back this week with another episode inspired by a Help a Sister Out question submitted by a community member. A few week's ago, a question was asked about healing in the environment that hurt you and we definitely had to bring it to the podcast to dig in deeper. For this conversation we're joined again by Melissa Ifill, LCSW. Melissa and I chatted about whether it is possible to heal in an environment that hurt you, what boundaries might look like with someone who’s hurt you, the importance of having difficult conversations, and what forgiveness really means when you’ve been hurt.
