Therapy for Black Girls

Nov 7, 2018

The Therapy for Black Girls Podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a Licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible version of ourselves.

In this week's episode I discuss how our language impacts our mental health, specifically when it's filled with things we "should" do or be and shared 5 tips for how you can stop "shoulding" on yourself.

I also announced our brand new Therapy for Black Girls community, The Yellow Couch Collective. This will be our space to practice some of the things we discuss on the podcast and a space to develop and strengthen our relationships with one another. Every month we'll have deep dives into different topics, Q&A sessions with your favorite guests from the podcast, and spotlight sessions with me where you can get live feedback. I'd love for you to join us at therapyforblackgirls.com/ycc
