Therapy for Black Girls

Oct 24, 2018

The Therapy for Black Girls Podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a Licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible version of ourselves.

For this week's episode, we dive into some of the double standards that exist when discussing women's vs. men's sexuality. For this conversation I am joined by Shamyra Howard, LCSW. Shamyra and I discussed why this double standard exists, how Black women can be more active in exploring their sexuality, her thoughts about friends with benefits, and of course she shared her favorite resources.
